City Of Newport Swimming Club Wins Round 1 Of National Arena Swimming League 2019

After an exciting night of racing, the City of Newport Swimming Club (pictured above) won their latest gala in outstanding style - with 76 points between them and the second placed team.

A team of 34 swimmers from the City of Newport Swimming & Water Polo Club travelled to Millfield School Pool on Saturday 13 October to compete in the Western Region of the National Arena Swimming League.

Newport swimmer Megan shatters Welsh junior record

TEENAGE swimmer Megan Allison broke the Welsh junior record for the 50-metre freestyle when winning an impressive medal haul at the Welsh Long Course Championships.

The 15-year-old from the City of Newport Swimming Club, in partnership with Newport Live and Rougemont School, lowered a time that has stood since 2009 from 26.90 seconds to 26.77 seconds.
